| Current mood: | amused/annoyed/Yuki-ed |
| Current music: | Ryuichi singing in the background for Saki. |
So, we meet at last. . .
Mika and I arranged the party. She'll be the one doing invitations, and, since it'll be at my place, I'm doing decorating and such. Ah. I can't wait!
Saki bugged me again. I told her that she could go with me to NG between lunch with Mika and the party. . . so I took her. I didn't really expect anyone to be there, but as it happened. . .
There.
He stood.
Not K, of course, (thank god!) but Yuki. He was standing there, apparently flirting with a secretary, when Saki saw him (she saw him first, actually).
"Mama, who's that?" She asked, tugging at my hand. I sighed, rubbing my forehead.
"No one. That's Yuki Eiri. He's a writer." I replied, hoping she'd be content with the answer.
"Oooh, is that why he looks so .. mean? Is he the one that's with Cousin Shuichi? Is he the one who was engaged to that one girl? The pretty one? Does he know Cousin Maiko? Is he Aunt Mika's brother? Is he Tohma's friend? Does he like Kumagoro? I--"
"No. Yes. Yes. Yes. . . Saki. Don't bother me with questions."
"I'll ask him then."
"No--"
But it was too late. She slipped out of my hand and ran over to Yuki, standing inbetween him and his game, arms behind her back, smiling at him.
"You don't look very happy. Mommy says it's because you're a writer. My mommy is Noriko. Won't you talk with her and me? I can show you where Ryuichi keeps crayons for me to draw with! I can draw a picture of you while you talk with Mommy."
He replied something to the effect of "You must get your annoying talk from your mother," and was dragged off by Saki.
By this time, I was more than a little embaressed. I took Saki away from Yuki.
"Sorry about that, Yuki. Just. . . is that your way of socializing?! Flirting?!"
I don't know. I had to say it.
"What you need is. . . is. . . some introduction! Some kind of. . . something! You can't say flirting is socializing! It's --- Saki, come with me."
We decided what to do was call up Ryuichi. He's the best at getting cold people to warm up. I "guarded the door" as Yuki called it, and Yuki drew with Saki and Ryuichi. It was a good experiance for all the children there, Yuki included.
Yuki, Saki is a better artist than you. I'd suggest you keep your day job. ^_^
